OMG!!!!!

No seriously, OMG!!!!! Yesterday was probably the most exciting day we have had around here. Next Wednesday we get our kitchen which will likely top the excitement scale, but for now....OMG! Sure, I may not have glass windows (still rocking the plywood) but I now have doors. And not your average doors. Feast your eyes:

A full 45 inches wide with a "continuous hinge" whatever.

I have to say, this is a HUUUGE upgrade from what we started with. What I like to call 'Ol Doors McUgly.

In addition to our front door, we also received the matching door that leads to the roof deck.

Right now, the door leads to a potential broken neck. Soon it will lead to a large roof deck with a great view. Yah, just in time for the death of winter.

The excitement does not end at doors and almost roof decks. Oh no. We have new carpet throughout the entire downstairs (minus the apartment).

I can't wait to spend the weekend decorating the guest bedroom. The new mattress arrive Saturday. Tip to potential visitors: If given the choice of beds, choose the apartment. The guest bedroom is the 2nd cheapest one sold at RC Wiley. The apartment bed is the 2nd most expensive bed they sell.

We also received our interior doors and I will share photos later. Next steps include finishing the framing of the garage and roof deck, painting upstairs, and then Wednesday we get our Kitchen and windows. Woo hoo, civilization!
